Joining NZCU Steelsands is free. Contact us. Find your closest branch here.

When joining you will need to have at hand:

  • Identification.  See fact sheet for requirements
  • Proof of your residential address e.g. bill or other bank statement, must be dated within the last 3 months.

When you are a customer of NZCU Steelsands, you become a member with access to our benefits such as:

NZCU Steelsands provides the same kind of products and services you'd find at a bank, however as a co-operatively owned credit union:

  • We are not-for-profit, we serve you, our member-owners, not outside investors
  • We are 100% NZ owned
  • Our Board of Directors are elected by you, our members
  • We educate members to help you achieve your financial goals
  • We are not a registered bank

Every loan application is individually assessed with your personal and financial circumstances taken into account. For more information contact someone at your local branch or call 0508 692 848 for more information.

Eftpos/Debit cards

For lost or stolen cards call us on 0508 692 484 immediately.  After hours call 0800 800 147, or when overseas call +64 9 366 1028 (collect).

You will need to contact your branch to arrange a new card and load the new PIN.

Yes, you can use any overseas ATM that displays the Mastercard® logo for AccessDebit and Maestro® logo for AccessCard.
